Cabin time...

Since Tim was on his 4 day we decided to get away and go to the cabin. We spent a couple of days up there, and had a great time.

I know that a lot of people have been up to the cabin, but I took a couple pictures of it. I totally forgot to take pictures of the inside, but here's the outside.

Tim recently got a chainsaw, and the first thing he did when we got up there was give it a try. There was a dead tree that had fallen, and he just had to chop it up. :)

Jackson followed him around, and was a huge help I'm sure. After taking this cute picture of him.... .....he decided to roll around in it an make a huge mess of himself! Thanks Jacks!

After Tim finished working and doing his man-thing we played washers. I think I won :)
Lilly was a great cheerleader...Jackson too.

One of our favorite things to do at the cabin is shoot the beebee gun (is that how you spell it...or BB gun???). Behind the cabin there is a little valley, and we call it redneck valley. We set up our lawn chairs, grab a beer or two, set up some pop cans to shoot, and shoot them cans! This trip up to the cabin we also sat on the front porch and shot the cans from there. We called it redneck ridge...a little more high class than the valley. :)

Anyhoo...I look like a natural!

Our little cheerleader. Lilly loves hanging outside, and enjoyed watching the activities in redneck ridge. Here are a few hillarious videos of her having fun in the ridge. She acts so silly and does this fake laugh. It makes us laugh everytime!

Here's Lilly eating and dancing...silly little girl!!!

After all the fun we were pretty hungry so Tim went outside to get the grill started. Unfortunately we ran into a little problem....

After cleaning out the abandoned bird nest, Tim got busy on the grill.

Lilly and I watched. :)

I think Lilly enjoyed her meal!

Since Lilly and I were just up at the cabin with Tasha, and Lilly had the scary run-in with the bear skin rug she's had time to get some nerves. Here she is pouncing on the bear. No fear this time!

I could put a hundred more pictures on here, but I think you got the jist. It was nice to get away, relax, and have fun.

Family Time :)

The last few days have been pretty relaxing, and we've spent time at home having "family time." Lilly had a pretty high fever from Thursday to Saturday, and we thought she was cutting a tooth. Today she got a rash all over her tummy, back, and forehead so I took her to the doctor. She has Roseola. :( Pretty much it's just a virus that everyone gets at some point in their life. You get a fever for 3-5 days, and after your fever goes away you get a rash. Poor little thing. At least we know why she's been so lethargic and cranky.

Anyhoo...even though she's been sick she's still a trooper.
Here is Tim and her hanging out on the couch. They were making funny faces at each other, and sticking their tongues out at each other. It was so cute.

Since Lilly went to daycare today I decided to go hang out with Jill and Kaylie. Since I'm such a dork I decided to take a picture of Kaylie and I. :)
What a cutie-pie!!!
Sooooo sleeeeeepy....
Later in the evening we got together with our parents and grandparents. My mom and dad just got back from Hawaii today (buttheads). They went with Tim's parents and another fun couple. My Granny and Papa are in town for our cousin's wedding. They were all having grandchild and great-grandchild withdrawals so everyone came to our house.
Lilly has a million toys, but she'd rather play with cardboard boxes. She climbs in and out of them and puts toys in them. Her grandpa apparently likes to put them on his head, but Lilly wasn't so sure of it. (sorry dad...I had to put the pictures on here)
Kaylie was too pooped out to play so she took a nap on Jason. Such a cute dad.
We got take-out from Old Chicago's, and Lilly thought it was fun to shove food in Grandpa's mouth.
Then she dug into Granny's spaghetti.
Here's a cute video of her shoving her face with fists full of spaghetti.

This one is her attempting to use a fork. It ended up in Granny's lap, but she's got the idea at least!
After dinner the kiddos were pretty tired, and winded down for the night with Grams and Grandpa.
Big baby and little baby....

Goodnight!!!

Girl's night at the cabin!!!

My best friend Tasha, Lilly, and I decided we needed to get away and have a girl's night at the cabin on Friday night. We ended up having a nice relaxing, and at some points, crazy night.

Even though Lilly had a fever (I think she's cutting a new tooth), she jumped right in her toy box and started playing.

Since there is no high chair up at the cabin, I brought her bumbo seat and plopped her right on the counter to eat. She thought that was cool.
After she got bored with her toys, I brought out the "bear skin rug" and she wasn't sure what to think of it.

Here is a video of her trying to get the guts to touch it.

She finally sat down to check it out, but this video shows she still wasn't sure of it.

She eventually warmed up to it though...

...and decided to wrestle with it. I think she won!

After Lilly went to bed Tasha and I played Cranium (kinda funny when there is only 2 people playing). Tasha kicked my butt at the trivia and spelling questions, but I did okay at the charades and pictionary type questions.
It was so beautiful out so we went outside to admire the view. We set the camera up on timer to get a picture of us. This is the picture we were intending to get....

...but why stop there...that wouldn't be fun. So, the craziness began. We're such dorks!!!

Divas...???

Strike a pose!

I think the funniest part of the whole picture frenzy was when the camera went off before we were both in the picture.

This one turned out cute though!

Good times at the cabin!!!! :)

Hot days of summer

Well the last few days have been pretty hot...almost 100 degrees every day. The evenings are great, but it's almost too hot to be outside during the day. Lilly does a great job of keeping herself busy, and I keep myself busy chasing her around.

I took this picture on a whim yesterday, and it turned out to be a great picture of Lilly. She's got such scraggly hair, and we're not sure what to do with it. We want to grow it out. In the mean time the scraggly look is pretty cute.

This is why we have to chase Lilly around all day. She climbs on everything. We call her our little monkey.

Lilly has 8 teeth now, and sometimes she just shows off her whole smile. What a goofball!!!

Since Tim was off work today, and the weather was so nice we decided to go to the pool. After Tim blew up Lilly's floaty she couldn't wait to get in it.

Jill's complex has a great pool, and it's never crowded. Lilly had fun kicking around in her little boat.

After being in the sun for awhile we took a break in the shade. Lilly proceeded to empty out all the bags and eat everything inside...yummy!!!

After she got bored with that our little monkey thought it might be fun to climb all over dad.
